Even at the young age of one, he would examine the bars of his crib one by one, look for the exact way to unscrew the cap from his bottle and dissect every gesture that brought a spoonful of food from his bowl to his mouth. From then on, his need for precision increased ten-fold — to the point where he made it a profession. His social life was non-existent, since he spent most of his time alternating between phases of observation or those of explanation.
