PostHeaderIcon Has anyone got any good insomnia cures?

hi all, well its almost 6am here in london and i’ve managed about an hour sleep tonight. i feel shattered but just can’t get to sleep. never had this problem before – i’m a bit worried.

all i hear is my heart beating and all sorts of random things floating around in my brain.

i don’t know whats up – i don’t feel stressed, i’m not drunk/on drugs, i’ve not changed anything significant in my life like diet etc.

apart from counting sheep … any good ideas?

Is this your 1st time to encounter this problem??

I have the same problem, but for me i can’t sleep if i feel no one’s around. And for me im usually worried, mostly because maybe i feel scared or unsafe. So sometimes(depending on your age)I just turn on the t.v.&leave it on till i go to sleep! It works really good, hopefully it works for you!

I can’t sleep either, that’s why I am on here! I was playing solitaire and another game online. That usually works to take my mind off the stuff flying through my brain. Try that. Play a few games online…card games, something to just make you change your focus. I’m off to bed now…feeling much less preoccupied with my thoughts.

    good luck!

Read Great Expectations, it always gets me asleep. Apart from that, you can just go over what’s in your head until you’ve sorted out your ideas.

Sir, I very much want to help. As a doctor, I feel I should ask you, have you ever considered taking melatonin? Melatonin is a natural supplement that can serve as a sleep aid. It is not way shape or form a sleeping pill of any kind. It is purely natural. Maybe melatonin will work for you. It’s worth a try. Look for it in the pharmacy section of any store.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Cut out half an onion (medium), sprinkle some salt and a teaspoon of olive oil. Cut a few slices of an onion to make it bearable and eat raw. Do not steam it even if you find it hot. This should be immediately after taking your evening meal/supper. You will sleep so soundly your mom will have to wake you or set an alarm to wake u up. The Romans and the Egyptians used onions to fight insomina. All the best.
